Story of Mariam Kamara

Mariam is an amazing person. She is a 28-year old and mother of four children, three girls, and one boy. Mariam's husband passed away due to illness and lack of access to better medical treatment. Mariam's children were 13, 10, 9, and five years old. Mariam is a single mother and solely responsible for the wellbeing of her children and other extended family members.

Mariam had the opportunity to attend school and learn the teaching trade through the support of her uncle who passed away while Mariam was about to finish her school. Mariam is one of our great teachers who is so passionate about educating children.

Mariam struggles to raise a family of four as what she received from Hakeem Schools is not enough, but she is grateful nevertheless. She is responsible for her children's education and many others. Hakeem school takes the responsibility for paying her wage and supporting her children. Mariam wants to give children a better life but struggle to make ends meet.

The cost of paying for a one child's full-year education is about $200 and, your donation you will ensure Mariam's children get the education they deserve and Mariam is able to secure a job and build a community.
