Top maths marks

Maths success Among our students we have seen particularly strong results in mathematics. This does not refer just to one or two top performers, but has been a trend over years. While some of our mathematics whizzes have ambitions to go into fields like medicine or science, they tend to be hampered by financial constraints. It is rare for a student from a poor background in Sierra Leonne to go to university. Higher education is costly itself, as our textbooks, and in all of Freetown, the nation’s capital, we have only one university. We are hoping that this will change.
